STEM Communication Awards
An annual series of prizes rewarding ORT students around the world for producing outstanding video presentations explaining STEM topics clearly and skilfully to a non-specialist audience.
Entrants are encouraged to present their topics creatively and all submissions are judged by a panel of educators and researchers, including representatives of World ORT’s Academic Advisory Council, and non-STEM professionals who rate the videos according to the students’ communication skills, the quality and accuracy of the STEM content, their ability to share their passion for STEM and serve as role models for other students.
Participants develop a deeper understanding of their subject and the process of planning and developing their ideas into well-structured presentations.
