The prize is awarded to educators who have gone above and beyond what is expected of them and have distinguished themselves in some way.
Examples could include inspiring colleagues, working collaboratively across the ORT network, designing and sharing educational materials, creating new technology resources, developing new teaching methods and improving the effectiveness of educational technology.
This award values excellence within the ORT school network, inspiring our teachers to lead their institution in innovative ideas, technology and practice.

Before I came into teaching, I was an industrial designer, an innovation leader and a project leader for Fiat Chrysler, and before that a product and graphic designer in the plastic and food industry.
Teachers may be taught how to lead children when they qualify – but not adults.
“I will always be grateful for this award for rest of my life. Knowing that there are people who still appreciate teachers makes me want to be the greatest teacher to all my learners and a team worker to my colleagues to share our values and teaching strategies, so that we raise a strong economically active youth.”
