From its establishment in 1960, ORT’s Global Aid program benefited more than two million people in 98 countries. Financed by development institutions, donor agencies, private companies and foundations, our programs were designed to meet local needs.
ORT has consultative status with UNESCO, observer status at the International Labour Organization (ILO), participatory status at the Council of Europe, is affiliated to the World Jewish Congress, and is a founding member of ICVA (International Council of Voluntary Agencies).
Our International Co-operation (IC) program worked with partners ranging from the World Bank to the American Joint Jewish Distribution Committee (JDC) and from Coca Cola to Hewlett Packard.
We do not currently operate any IC Global Aid programs.
