Two graduate design students from the Moscow ORT College Technology have recently been employed by a computer design group of one of the CIS’s leading Television channels, ‘TV-6’, which is broadcast throughout the region. The Technology College houses more than 600 students aged 15 to 21, all of whom study at the college’s ORT laboratory. During the past year, ORT students participated in a number of competitions and festivals such as ‘Young Designers’. Market demand for design graduates is so high that 100 percent of third year students have already been employed at diverse television stations, advertising agencies and large design firms. Impressed with the highest quality professional skills the ORT graduates have demonstrated, the station has expressed their wishes to take on more ORT design graduates in the near future.
