Building relationships with American ORT

More than 150 Real Estate and Construction supporters of American ORT attended the March 13th breakfast briefing featuring Jeff Blau where he spoke about real estate construction and development in the New York City area at the American ORT Real Estate Breakfast Briefing. Over the past 10 years, Jeff Blau has directed over 25 new real estate and construction developments in New York City and across the United States, worth over $2 billion, in virtually every sector of the real estate industry. In January of 2000, Mr. Blau was named president of The Related Companies, L.P. Blau is responsible for new development and for strategic oversight of the firm’s affiliated group of companies, including Related Capital Company, Related Management Company, Credit Re-Mortgage Capital, Related Retail, and Palladium. The Real Estate Chapter of American ORT is an active group that has raised major funds for World ORT. Last year, the 2000 campaign had Lloyd Goldman of BLDG Management Co. as its honoree. Over 400 people attended the event in his honor. This year’s honorees are Gary Jacob, Executive Vice President of Glenwood Management Co. and Linda Jacob, Senior Vice President of Glenwood Management Co. who are receiving the Community Achievement Award on December 6th at the Sheraton New York. The chapter’s 2001 financial goal is to raise $300,000 for the ORT programs and projects. Jerry Gottesman of Edison Properties will be receiving the Chapter Service Award. Arnold Penner is the Chapter President of the Real Estate Chapter and Gary Perl is the Senior Field Director.
