23.02.01

Since the inauguration of the Ana & Ben Dizik ORT Technology Centre in the Jewish Community Centre in Havana last November, more than 90 students have enrolled in Information Technology courses. Children, adolescents and adults all attend courses held in this laboratory, which is open 12 hours a day, six days a week. The laboratory which was made possible by Sarita Gantz in memory of her parents, who were once leaders of the Jewish community in Havana, marks ORT’s renewed presence after more than 50 years of absence from the country. The laboratory was opened with the help of Dr Miller, the chairman of the Jewish community in Havana.
